Caramel Yaoi Manga eBook Puku Okuyama
The plot scenario is very basic: student needs place to stay in Tokyo and ends up shaking up with this white-collar guy for free...but with a catch! He must do all the cooking, all the cleaning and sleep in the same bed as him...wait? what!Yes the handsome Roku, who's a president of a business and high earning citizen, is afraid of the dark. Not a problem, as Iori is use to sleeping with his younger siblings all the time...but when Roku 'touches' him one night Iori must comes to terms with what their relationship really is.
If you've read any of Puku's works you will know what you're in for; some cute chibis, funny scenes and strangely addictive characters! I love Puku's mangas because she delivers simple rom coms that are not over the top, smutty or demanding. Just refreshing romances based around quirky characters.
The art is also favorable. The level of detail in the smallest things: clothing, backgrounds, anatomy...even in her chibis you can see good design. I not talking 'Rihito Takarai' here but definitely in a class of her own.
I enjoy this manga because it always leaves me with a smile on my face, no matter how many times i read it. Look, nothing terribly exciting happens and the drama or scenarios are not gripping; it's simple and enjoyable. Also, although this is a yaoi - the first from Puku, as she mainly does Shounen-Ai's - it's very tame. Good, but tame.
Conclusion: If you are after a refreshing romance with loveable characters, adorable art and some good laughs, you will enjoy this.
PS: The name 'Caramel' is based around the argument between Roku and Iori about having Caramel sauce with pudding. Roku doesn't like it, where Iori does. I must say, after all the talk about delicious caramel pudding i had to make my own...and I'm siding with Iori! haha

Caramel Yaoi Manga eBook Puku Okuyama Reviews
This was super cute. The art is drawn really well, and I loved the characters. I gave it five stars because it does have a good plot, good art, etc., but I feel that I should warn others that it is not very hardcore. However, as is, I still enjoyed it greatly. Enough so to crave pudding afterwards. =]
This is a cute little manga with not a lot of depth. The characters weren't fully drawn out, but they were interesting to read. Not exactly Pulitzer prize winning material, but worth the read when one wants to spend an hour that won't require a whole lot of thought.
This story definitly made me wish i had such an amazing relationship.
Its starting by giving off the most weird situation without giving too many hopes off it.
But a couple more minutes in the main character is being driven into some very sweet love story filled with alot of cute and epic moments.
If you haven't had the chance to enjoy a great story in a while, i would definitly recommand reading this one, it will surely put a smile on your face~
hoping for a light yaoi, finding this cute nd lovable story was the best. the characters are both interesting an have a child like whimsy that is atractive and keeps smil on yoir face. the seme and his fear of sleeping alone is the point that really starts the connection aftr the uke gets a hard on and the seme helps him release the pressure. tho the uke didnt preciae that, it starts the ball rolling. the drawing is good. would suggest this for anyone.
Once I read it, this immediately became one of my favourites. Everything about it is really enjoyable!
The artwork is cute; the artist uses more solid lines than compared to others. She also does a lot of really funny, joking illustrations. It makes it really entertaining to read, and brought a lot of laughs.
The story is really cute. I think the characters ended up being really lovable and well developed, especially considering how short it is; I really grew to like all of them. And it's definitely not as creepy as the summary makes it sound! It's actually really funny and sweet.
I would totally recommend buying it. This was a title I wasn't sure about purchasing, but I'm so glad I did! Just writing about it makes me smile.
Even though i hardly ever buy any books or manga because i usually read them online but when i do i do not buy any that would cost me more than 5 euros. So at first i was kind of hesitant to buy it but because i couldn't find it nowhere on the internet after searching through all of the manga websites i know i had no choice but to buy it. And i am really grateful i did. Throughout the entire manga i couldn't help but smile because it was so cute and light. The story had a development stage and didn't just go straight to the sex. You saw how the two relationship developed and how completely helpless the man was even if the boy was just gone for a day. It was really sweet. Even some people might say that the characters did not have enough time to develop but they had such nice personalities and almost seemed real. I have seen many many yaoi mangas to see that some of them are created just for the sex and i most of the time do not even know what the story is about. If there was another volume coming out with this couple i woul definitely buy it as well.
I didn't know if I'd like it going by the cover, but the more free-style art was brilliant and the characters were so funny. A student from a small town moves to Tokyo for college and gets free rent by looking after an apparently respectable businessman in his late twenties. Constant bickering and arguments about which one of them is the biggest kid, (aka, most-childish) ;) ensue, often breaking out in cheek-pinching fights. I have never read a yaoi quite like this before. Iori, the student comes from a large family,(his little brothers and sisters are so cute!) and so he quickly realizes that his new high-maintenance roommate just needs some loving care and more vegetables in his diet. I'm so glad I took a chance and pre-ordered this. Highly recommended! If you like this novel you might like, Our Kingdom, Volume 1 (v. 1), another favorite of mine.
